Environmental Sciences Mater's degree graduation ceremony 2019

A total of 79 graduate students of all specialisations celebrated their successful graduation at the Master's degree graduation ceremony of the Environmental Sciences study programme on 8 November 2019.

The ETH-Medal was given to:

  • Juliana Neumann with the Master’s thesis "Hydrothermal Carbonization of Poultry Litter: Recirculation and Biotoxicity Testing of the Liquid Phase"
  • Kevin Lang with the Master’s thesis "Spatio-Temporal Estimation of Global Plastic Waste Inputs to the Ocean from 1990 to 2015".

As best-of-the-year graduate student Christoph Heim was given the Willi Studer Prize from ETH Zurich.

For her excellent thesis "Evaluating the micropollutant biotransformation potential of stream biofilms" an award of the Environmental Sciences study programme was given to Nora Minas.
