KITE Award 2020: Nominated projects

The course "Environmental Problem Solving" has won the well desired KITE Award this year. However, of the 34 teams nominated for the award, several other projects were also dveloped in the Departement of Environmental Systems Science (D-USYS).

A total of 34 projects were nominated for the KITE Award 2020. D-USYS is involved in the following projects:

  • Current Challenges in Plant Breeding
    Students meet with (inter)-​national experts as well as multiple stakeholders in plant breeding to discuss a topic of interest.
  • World Food Systems Summer School
    An innovative approach to education that teaches participants to navigate complexity and build sustainable food systems.
  • Interdisziplinäre Projektarbeit (IPA)
    Students of agricultural and food sciences work in interdisciplinary teams to develop innovative solutions to real problems along the food value chain.
  • Innovation in Smart Farming
    Students of the agricultural science degree programme work on developing their own ideas to solve current agricultural issues within the field of smart farming.
