Golden Owsl for Adrian Leuchtmann and David Russell Johnson

Two "Golden Owls" were awarded on the last ETH Day for lecturers at D-USYS: Adrian Leuchtmann and David Russell Johnson have been honoured with the teaching award presented by the Association of students at ETH Zurich (VSETH). Congratulations!

Adrian Leuchtmann

Adrian Leuchtmann has been an adjunct professor at the Institute of Integrative Biology since September 2005. In this institute he is leader of the Evolutionary Mycology group. At D-USYS he teaches courses in Biodiversity and Ecological Significance of Fungi, Systematic Biology and Mycology.

David Russell Johnson

David Russell Johnson is a group leader at Eawag, and among other fields, an expert in biodiversity and experimental evolution. At D-USYS he teaches a course in "Ecology of Microbial Systems" designed for Bachelor's students of our environmental sciences study programme.

The Golden Owl honours particularly committed and talented teachers, who are determined by a survey among the students. It is awarded by the Association of students at ETH Zurich (VSETH) as part of the annual ETH Day. Every year, one teacher per department is awarded.
