Nina Buchmann receives award from the University of Utah

Nina Buchmann, Professor of Grassland Sciences at the Institute of Agricultural Sciences at ETH Zurich, has been named a "Distinguished Alumna" of the School of Biological Sciences (SBS) at the University of Utah, Salt Lake City, USA.
Nina Buchmann studied geoecology at the University of Bayreuth, Germany. During three years as an Alexander-von-Humboldt fellow at the University of Utah, she worked with Professor Jim Ehleringer on stable isotopes from 1993 to 1996.
Since 2003, Nina Buchmann has been a full Professor of Grassland Science at the Institute of Agricultural Sciences. She also served as Head of the Department of Environmental Systems Science at ETH Zurich from 2017 to July 2021.
A ceremony honoring the distinguished alumni and alumnae will be held in Utah, Salt Lake City (USA) on April 27, 2022.
