Additional information

I am currently studying carbon cycling and stabilization in alpine and arctic soils of the Alps and of Svalbard. To help identify the role of different soil organic matter stabilization mechanisms, I am interested in the application of ¹³C and ¹⁵N stable isotopes to trace organic matter in different soil fractions.

In the past I have been involved in smaller projects revolving around carbon in tropical African soils and microbial necromass contributions to soil organic matter along a geochemical soil gradient in Chile.
