Research area
Cloud formation: The influence of organic substances on the hygroscopic growth of atmospheric aerosol particles and their activation to cloud droplets. Microphysical and chemical processes that I am currently investigating:
- Co-condensation
- Surface tension lowering
- Dissociation of organic acids
- Non-ideality and liquid-liquid phase separation
This research is part of the swiss-french ORACLE project and further described here.
