Research area

My research focuses on an SNSF-funded project on the ecological genetics of altitudinal adaptation in wild carnations (Dianthus, Caryophyllaceae). The project combines genomic approaches to detect signature of selection in wild populations, quantitative genetics experiments to dissect the architecture of relevant phenotypic traits, and ecological trials by means of field transplant experiments to test adaptive hypotheses.
