We are pleased that you are interested in the ETH Zurich and the course of studies Environmental Sciences. Here you can find out everything you need to know about your stay with us.
Prerequisites
We expect interested students to have a good record of achievement and to be supported by their university of origin.
In addition, we require the necessary knowledge of the language of instruction. At Bachelor’s level, there is only a selection of courses taught in English, however, at Master’s level the language of instruction is English.

Choice of courses
Exchange students must take a minimum of at least 20 ECTS credits worth of courses per semester and can choose these freely from all levels of courses at the Environmental Sciences degree programme at ETH Zurich. Usually, exchange students can also write their Master’s thesis at one of our six research institutes. It is important that your study plan is well coordinated with the curriculum at your university of origin.

How to apply
Applications for visiting study programmes in Environmental Sciences are made using the online portal of the Student Exchange Office.
Transcript of records
At the end of their exchange programme and before returning to their university of origin, students must request their transcript of records from the administration office.
