Zusätzliche Informationen
Hansjoerg Seybold is physisist and mathematician interested in solving problems in Earth Science. He works as a postdoc in the Physics of Environmental Systems
group headed by Prof. James Kirchner.
His current work is focused on the interface between hydrology, geomorphology and climate science, analyzing how climatic controls impact the geometry
of channel networks. He also works on reactive flows in porous media to understand the preservation of marine organic carbon and the transition from erobic to
anerobic oxidation in soils.
Hansjoerg is also interested in transport in turbulent flows, and the development of novel methods for data assimilation in non-Gaussian, nonlinear
data driven models.
He obtained his Ph.D in Physics in 2009 from ETHZ and spent four years as a postdoc at MIT. Hansjoerg holds a Ms.C. in Physics and a Ms.C in Mathematics from the University of Stuttgart.
