In general, I am interested in the effects of climate change on plant species and community responses. I focus on Arctic ecosystems and investigate the current vegetation on Svalbard on different soil types. Furthermore, I will conduct an experiment here at ETH, to find out how changing competition patterns, different soil types and warmer temperatures affect the process of Arctic Greening. Using
Silene acaulis as a model system, I also assess possible adaptive responses to novel conditions.
