Christoph Vorburger appointed as Adjunct Professor of ETH Zurich

At its meeting on 23 and 24 September 2015, the ETH Board appointed Prof. Dr. Christoph Vorburger as Adjunct Professor of ETH Zurich.

Christoph Vorburger has held the position of SNSF-sponsored Professor for Evolutionary Ecology at ETH Zurich and Eawag for the past six years. From October, he will take on the role of group leader within the Department of Aquatic Ecology at Eawag.

Christoph Vorburger’s research is concerned with the evolution of different reproductive modes, investigation of host-parasite interactions and symbioses, and population genetics of fauna in running water. He is an internationally-renowned evolutionary biologist and a committed university lecturer. His SNSF-assisted professorship at the Department of Environmental Systems Science at ETH Zurich is due to finish at the end of September 2015. In October he will take over the leadership of the Evolutionary Ecology group in the Department of Aquatic Ecology.
